Homyar is a graduate of Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Calcutta. He is an active sports lover and plays all games with special attention towards Rugby and Cricket. He has represented the Calcutta Parsee Club in Cricket and Football. He has represented his school St Joseph’s College, in Table Tennis, and has captained the school under-19 rugby team. He has recently retired from playing rugby for The Calcutta Cricket and Football Club in the various tournaments held locally and also in the All India South Asia tournament. He has coached the under-16 and under-19 teams of St Joseph’s College after having graduated.
He started his career in the travel industry, as a consultant, and later joined a reputed airline. It is his passion for the sport that made him decide to work in the sporting industry, with the hope to help improve sporting infrastructure in our country and to help identify future champions. As a true sportsman, he is a believer in teamwork. As a thorough professional he believes in sincerity, honesty, loyalty and hard work.
